Lost and Found
It was my job and my life to pursue only the sound I wanted to make,
and to make the crowd go crazy.
In the past, when there was a large earthquake, I always took immediate action.
I’d reach out to my friends, get some songs together, and donate the profits.
Then, in 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak!
I was frozen in shock, because this time, everyone was involved, including me.
I try to take action…I’m just trying to make music,
but I can’t grasp the ‘core’ that gets people excited…
Does everyone have their own ‘core’?
I lost what I believed in, what I longed for, what I relied on… I don’t know what to do.
I think perhaps there are many people who can’t grasp their ‘core’,
but nothing will start if I just stand here.
Let’s take a journey to search for our ‘core’.
My journey is a journey of self-rediscovery,
by re-examining the ‘core’ that has made people excited.
This movie cuts out that very process.
Lost and Found
‘Loss’ and ‘discovery’ (lost and found) are keywords
that indicate lost property at airports and hotels.
In addition to typically unseen production scenery and interviews,
private footage is included—filming the ‘on’ and ‘off’, impulsivity and intellect.
This is a short film montage of footage of my exploration of the ‘core’,
as filmed by videographer Makoto Miyauchi (RGBeat Studio).
It is also the landscape of a journey in which everyone rediscovers their ‘core’.
